Hunting is the pursuit, captivity, killing and exploitation of wild animals. Almost everywhere in the world there are laws that regulate when they are allowed to hunt what – Unsafe hunting is called “stamming”. At present, these five reasons are often intermingled. However, in addition to the slaughter of animal animals, the second traditional task of hunting was the care of these animals. An example of this is an in-patient auxiliary feeding of forest animals, or the establishment of fences on motorcycles in animal forests, which are a little preventing the death of animals (and humans) due to collisions with cars. In the midst of ecologically interested people, there are disputes about the desirability of these methods.
The people have already hunted out in the early rocky season – it is generally characterized by the same-time people as “hunters and collectors.” The hunting has not only delivered meat to eat, but also bones necessary for making all kinds of tools, and skins for dressing.
When the people were getting more and more permanent residents and more and more, they got ridicule that delivered meat, bones and skins (and in addition to milk, wool and eggs), the gravity of hunting has decreased. Already in the ancient high-class civilizations, hunting has been considered luxurious and recreational hobbies that have not been caring for no more, but only people chosen. However, there were hunting cults for ancient gods that were particularly related to hunting – such as the Greek goddess Artemis and the Roman goddess Diana. Also, the Catholic Church quickly appointed a saint responsible for hunting, the Holy Hubert.
In the middle Ages, hunting was a privilege of the nobility, of high state and church officials. From that time there is a distinction between “high hunting” of great animals such as deer, which was an exclusive privilege of the nobility, and “low hunting” for example hares and pheasants, with which more people were allowed. Most kings had territories, where only they themselves had to hunt, and particularly valued that luxury.
At the moment of hunting in Europe, private individuals are involved in the registration of forestry owners and hunting in this area. Because the laws in several countries, such as in Germany, do not anticipate hunting without a forestry possession, the owners of such territories have established hunting cooperatives in many places and have the right to hunt for additional people. This also enables tourist hunting in areas where the hobbyists hunt only.
In most countries there are hunting traditions phased by generation to generation. In several languages, for example the German, there is a particular hunting language. The hunting items are defined, most often green, and in Europe the hunters care for music with defined horned music to give respect, motivation and appreciation to them. However, in the alpine countries there are also folk tales, where the hunters have a negative role. According to the perception of the people, the forests should belong to all, and the robbery by non-nobles, although illegal, was considered moral right. Particularly during the time of the nobility’s absolute control, and the uncertainty of the simple people about this situation, thieves in the stories of this region often appeared as heroes and the official hunters as unattended assistants of any nobleman.
